Vanguard is a new product offering from
Gordano. Vanguard offers comprehensive, enterprise class,
spam and virus protection to multiple internal servers, including
Microsoft Exchange, Groupwise, IBM/Lotus Domino and the Gordano
Messaging Suite. Vanguard integrates well into existing infrastructures
and can be run 'out of the box' or configured to meet your
specific company requirements.
Dual Anti Virus scanning engines provide
traditional signature based scanning together with advanced,
leading edge Zero Hour technology. There are many Anti Spam
features within Vanguard including Bayesian filtering, Scored
words and Recurrent Pattern Detection (RPD), The latter of
which is extremely effective in combating image based spam
and is totally language independent.
Vanguard authenticates users against the
internal servers before processing mail for those accounts.
This lightens the load on the main mail servers ensuring they
continue to process good mail and resources are not wasted
on unwanted messages. Users can manage their quarantine folders
individually - a summary email reporting contents of their
quarantine folder can be sent daily and from this they are
able to whitelist, block, accept, delete and report false
positives. Unlike other boundary protection systems, Vanguard
has no limits on the number of messages processed or amount
of bandwidth available.
